How to get to Yelapa:

Please be advised we do NOT have ATM's in Yelapa. Get Pesos from any ATM in Puerto Vallarta (except the airport, very low exchange rate) and only a few restaurants accept credit cards.

How to get to Yelapa from Puerto Vallarta airport (airport code: PVR)
Take the airport taxi (booth is on the left inside the airport when you come out after customs, (2 people 340 Pesos) ) Tell the driver to take you to the Los Muertos pier to take a water taxi to Yelapa. Or you can go over the bridge over the freeway on the bottom on the other side are 'normal' taxis which are cheaper.

We have now a "Yelapa Office" in Puerto Vallarta it is located on the left, as you arrive to the Los Muertos Pier. You can buy your round-trip water taxi tickets there (320 Pesos per person). You also can store your luggage if necessary and exchange money.

Tell the captain of the panga (water taxi) to let you off at Isabel's beach, where we will pick you up. In the case that the sea is too rough to get off at Isabel's beach please get off at the pier at the playita (little beach) by the Cafe Bahia in the Pueblo (village). Please tell us in advance whether you need your luggage to be carried to the house. We highly recommend it. It's around 150 Pesos/bag depending on the size and weight.

By the way we have the best natural water source you still can find on Earth! It comes from 2 miles up the jungle mountain natural spring! (We do use water filter at the house of course) You will taste the difference!

Yelapa was voted number 1 Mexican writer's favorite city to visit by the San Francisco Chronicle Magazine! Great Article!
